ROUND TABLE/SLAUGHTER HOUSE RECORDS PRESENTS: THE ROCK MOB

Straight out of the thriving Hip-Hop scene in the Southeast hails The Rock Mob, preparing for the arrival of their incredible new album The TakeOver on Round Table/SlaughterHouse Records. The project will be released early next year, and is already gearing up to be one of the greats with appearances from Short Dawg, Rocko-da Don, Juvenile, Bone Crusher, Jim Jones and more. Their current singles “Let Em Know ” feat. Short Dawg of Young Money and “Long Money” is on the rise, @ them on twitter @TheRockMob and TheRockMob on Facebook. As a pre-cursor to their full-length album, they will release The Flood mixtape, hosted by DJ Scream.
The Rock Mob members each bring a distinct talent to the group, contributing to a powerful sound that is matched by few. Washington, DC native Maserati Black leads the pack with his commanding voice while Drop adds an aggressive, in-your-face flow to complete the sound.
After the massive underground success of their 2006 single “Hot Cars” featuring Jim Jones, the group made some moves as they expanded their business from Washington, DC into Atlanta. Although they are currently recording the bulk of their album in Atlanta, they frequently operate in DC to maintain the strong connection. Working diligently behind the scenes through this growth period, Maserati Black views the break as a necessary step for their next accomplishments.
“The Jim Jones song was hot, but we want to show our fans what we are made of as a group,” he says. “We feel we are a strong enough group to stand on our own. The group itself was under construction for a period of time, and we took that time off to revaluate the future of the group.  We made necessary changes that will benefit and enhance group’s growth and success,” says Maserati.
Birthed from a life of tried and true street struggle, The Rock Mob decided to name the new album The Last Supper. Many rappers try to claim the street, hustle and pain; but they are far from the true reality of its bite. Destined to take their rightful place in the top ranks of Hip Hop, The Rock Mob has earned a loyal following in the streets of  Atlanta, DC and the Southeast region at large by keeping it real as they strive for greatness.
“The most important lesson learned as an independent artist is to never lose focus on what you set out to accomplish,” says Maserati. “People will deter you from following your dreams if you let them, but it is up to you to aim to the stars and never give up. I've suffered many losses, both monetary and within the group, and that has strengthened me beyond belief. These challenges are the reason I am able to make smarter business decisions. I invest in our music because I believe in it.”
The Last Supper is coming together as a comprehensive project, with high-end production and authentic lyrical content. The vibe is all about conveying the true realities of today's streets. The Rock Mob thrives on infectious club rhythms, and each song brings a different flair for music fans requiring a bold, energetic ambience. Production is key, and rising beatmakers like CNote, TraBeats, Drop and J-Malice set up the vibe perfectly. Guest appearances include R&B sensation Rafael, Calico Jones, Al Gator, Wood and Pine, and of course Jim Jones, Juvenile and Bone Crusher.
“We have so many hot singles to choose from already with this album,” beams Maserati. “You can definitely expect some heat when The Rock Mob's around. A couple of my personal favorites include ‘Keep It Coming’ featuring Al Gator, ‘Imma Get Money’ and ‘Cha Ching’. Our goal is to make each new single hotter than the one before. Our album will be a great listener from start to finish - you don't get too much of that these days. The Rock Mob is all about well-crafted songs, reminiscent of classics like rappers used to do it back in the days. We take pride in our music.”
The group is currently in the midst of setting off on a promotional tour in early Spring. While their current song “Money Addict” is their main focus, they will also re-release their Jim Jones featured track “Hot Cars” as the album date nears. When all is said and done, The Rock Mob is doing music for the fans who love to feel passionate about their favorite artists.
“We are looking for notoriety and dedicated fans in all markets. It’s what's in your heart,” explains Maserati. “As they say, ‘It’s not where you're from; it’s where you're at.”  Being from DC, I’m able to bring my up-North experience and merge gracefully with sounds of the South to create musical bliss. Atlanta has shown us love, and the environment enhances the group’s swagger. We are ready to take genuine Hip Hop music to the next level.”
